The Visakhapatnam branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) celebrated the 68th CA Day celebrations on Saturday.
Chairman B. Venkata Rao unfurled the ICAI flag and a ‘go green’ walkathon was organised to mark the occasion. A blood donation camp was organised in which members and students donated blood. An eye check up camp and dental camp were also organised.
Literacy kits were distributed to student of Mandal Parishad Primary schools at Tunivalasa and Narasapuram villages in Vizianagaram district as part of CA Day.
Senior Chartered Accountants Bajaj Kunwar Ram and A. Srinivasa Rao were felicitated on the occasion.
A meeting on ‘Code of ethics’ was conducted in which J. Venkateswarlu spoke on the role played by CA s in the implementation of amendments in various Acts.
