VUDA to stop LRS processing by month-end

Applicants asked to submit relevant information within a week

September 20, 2011 11:45 am | Updated November 17, 2021 12:44 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

The process of Layout Regularisation Scheme for regularising the plots in unauthorised layouts ends by September 30.

VUDA Vice-Chairman Kona Sasidhar has advised the applicants to answer the queries raised by VUDA and submit the relevant information and documents within a week, enabling it to process the applications paving way for approval.

As the process of LRS is coming to a close by this month-end, VUDA will not continue the verifications or field inspections beyond September 30.

VUDA has been issuing LRS approvals for applicants in the jurisdiction of Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region (VMR) since 2008. It had received about 16,600 LRS applications and issued 600 approvals till April 2011.

Soon after Mr. Saisdhar assumed charge, a separate mechanism and action plan was worked out and implemented on a war-footing resulting in 6,000 approvals.
