VUDA to allot LIG plots by draw of lots

First spell of auction of HIG and MIG plots to be held from June 27 to 29

VUDA has announced auction of plots in a joint venture layout at Dakamarri while partially restoring allotment after a long time.

LIG plots will be allotted by draw of lots.

The EWS plots will be handed over to the Collector for allotment.

HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao announced the auction of 130 plots (HIG 39 and MIG 91) in the first spell from June 27 to 29 with an upset price of Rs.11,000 for HIG and Rs.10,000 for MIG.

The auction for other plots would be taken up after assessing the “pulse” in the June auction, Mr. Srinivasa Rao told the media here on Friday.

Rate and allotment process for LIG plots “as per rules” would be worked out by authorities and announced later, he said.

In the joint venture project, Fortune Hills, coming up in public-private partnership mode with Vensar Meadows Private Limited in 97.89 acres in Bheemunipatnam mandal, the VUDA has a total of 1,163 plots and three odd bits in the layout.

It comprises 183 HIG plots in seven categories, depending on the extent, 448 MIG in three categories, 214 LIG in two categories, and 304 under EWS.

Vacant plots

Besides, vacant plots, in all 43, in 11 other layouts developed earlier will also be auctioned with an upset price ranging from Rs.25,000 (Madhurawada government lands) to Rs.6,000 (Sontyam).

To develop housing, some areas are proposed for developing satellite townships. They are at Endada (25 acres), Madhurawada (19.8, 60 and 7.2 acres), beside Harita housing project in 2.46 acres, Kapuluppada (32 acres), and Chittivalasa (36.4 acres), the Minister said.

Negotiations for development under land pooling at Kommadi, Gidijala, Anandapuram, and SR Puram are going on.

On complaints relating to construction in the Harita Township, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said he would make a visit.

Answering a question, VUDA Vice Chairman T. Baburao Naidu said that 145 acres was declared as belonging to the Endowments Department resolving a dispute.

The department has asked VUDA to take up development. However, with 23 acres of it turning out into a built-up area, a way out has to be worked out.
