VUDA takes possession of land

Acting on charges of fraudulent allotment of its land in Survey No.322 of Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority at Madhurwada, Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority on Tuesday took up a survey and put up boards.

Next to the land given for development to Radiant Developers, VUDA has a site of 1.56 acres. It was alleged that the land was allotted in the name of a school.

Besides the 1.56 acres of land, 0.44 acres of storm water drain (gedda) land was encroached upon and levelled, teams from the Survey and Planning Departments of VUDA that went to the site after instructions from Vice-Chairman Kona Sasidhar found. Boards have been put up stating that the land belongs to Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority .

Further the process to locate and check files related to the allotment has begun, it was learnt.
