VUDA issued tender notification on Monday for completing pending work on the Haritha Housing Project being developed at Madhurawada.Action plan initiated by Vice-Chairman N. Yuvaraj yielded favourable results in obtaining permission from the government to take up the work by VUDA on its own. The Vice-Chairman also convened meetings with the allottees of the Haritha Project. Later the government accorded permission to revive the work by entrusting the works on Engineering Procurement Construction mode. Accordingly, the construction work of Haritha has been divided into 10 items and tenders were finalised. Haritha work came to a standstill for a long time after VUDA cancelled the contract with Jurong who was entrusted with the responsibility to construct it.

The tenders were released on Monday calling bids from national level, enabling competitive bidders to take part and also to ensure completion of work within the time frame.

Works with estimates of about Rs.77 crore have been categorised block-wise. May 2 has been fixed as last date for submitting bids for the tenders.
