VUDA will introduce, in the next few days, online building plans approvals in municipalities and panchayats under its purview.

“All the master data concerned relating to approved layouts is uploaded and unless the details are furnished and mandatory documents uploaded the approval online will not accept it,” said VUDA Vice-Chairman P Basanth Kumar.

The plan approvals for all buildings beyond “G+2” construction will have to be applied online by licensed technical persons (LTPs) on VUDA portal which will come to VUDA for final approval through the panchayat/municipality concerned.

After the application was made out, it will go to the ground-level official in the local body concerned for verification. But if all the details are furnished provisional approval is given online on the basis of which construction can begin.

However, the employee concerned has to make post-verification. The employee has to make field inspection within seven days and take photos using Apps and mentioning longitude and latitude and duly filling in the columns with details has to sent the note-sheet with summary. The final approval will be given in a fortnight.

At the time of making out the application a fee of ₹10000 had to be paid and the remaining fee also during the process. The progress and the status of the application can be seen on the public dashboard and SMSes will be sent to the owner and the LTP.

Mr Basanth Kumar said for now from panchayats the fee would be routed to VUDA through public sector bank payment gateway. For municipalities the software has to be modified.

He said any LTP indulging in fraudulent practices would be blacklisted.

A trial application uploaded from Vizianagaram was demonstrated on Monday by the agency concerned Softech and VUDA officials.
