Concentrating on approvals during the past few days, VUDA officials on Thursday gave away 414 approvals under the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS).

VUDA Vice-Chairman T. Baburao Naidu who formally distributed the papres said so far 550 approvals had been given in the scheme and 1792 rejected. A total of 6286 applications were received. A revenue of ₹ 3.19 crore was realised. Madhurawada Zone I and II accounted for 134 and 150 disposals respectively.

Dr. Manmadha Rao, who received the approval on behalf of his wife, said the process was completed in a week.

Mr. Baburao Naidu said notices had been issued to all the applicants to produce documents that were not submitted along with the application or pay the pending fee.

A total of 11 documents have to be submitted along with the application. The documents include indemnity bond, ownership document, tahsildar’s certificate, government approach road with “No objection certificate,” market value certificate, FMB sketch etc.

Some had paid the fee only in part but it had to be paid according to the market rate, Mr. Baburao Naidu said.

The applications were rejected owing to lack of approach road, the land being government land or its location on hill-stream etc.

The Vice-Chairman said the Planning Department would actively work on disposing the applications and it was for the applicants to respond to the notices by submitting the ‘shortfall’ documents or paying the remaining fee.

Additional V-C K. Ramesh and Chief Urban Planner Ramatirtha were present.
