VUDA board slated to meet on July 5 will finalise the site for construction of a housing colony for the economically weaker sections.

Right now, a site at Ozone Valley at Paradesipalem or Cyber Valley at Madhurawada is proposed.

VUDA Vice-Chairman N. Yuvaraj said on Saturday that among 45 issues, the site selection would figure in the board meeting.

EWS housing colony proposed by the VUDA will have at least 200 units. The board will also discuss the issue of handing over developed area in Ozone Valley layout Phase-I, to the participating land owners under the land pooling concept and complete registration process for those already allotted.

The agenda also includes pleas made by some participating land owners of Phase-II for withdrawal and taking back their land.

The Vice-Chairman said the proposal of taking up allotments in all forthcoming housing projects and layouts of VUDA through draw of lots only instead of auction is included as one of the main issues in the board meeting.

Handing over the open spaces and parks earmarked in the VUDA layouts to the local bodies through registered deeds, especially in the limits of the GVMC, concurrence to the tenders finalised for Haritha Housing Project works and status of Public-Private Partnership projects of VUDA, along with continuation of lease to some projects, will be discussed.

Land issues pertaining to L&T and Maytas, mode of allotment of odd bits to the neighbouring residents in VUDA layouts, and other issues form part of the agenda.

Row houses

Mr. Yuvaraj said notification for allotment of Row Housing project at Rushikonda through auction would be released on July 1.

Applications will be received online.

Further, 151 plots were identified in all VUDA own layouts in Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram area ready for allotment for which a separate notification will be issued in a few days.
