The four-day VUDA auction ended on Wednesday and 178 plots were allotted. The selling of 178 plots out of 195 in nine layouts in Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram areas resulted in revenue realisation of Rs.41.5 crore.

The last day's auction fetched Rs. 3.4 crore from 34 plots at Rawada, Kummaripalem, Kanapaka Ayyannapeta and Babametta.

The highest price in Kummaripalem layout is Rs.6,700 against the upset price of Rs.2,500 per square yard while Rs.3,300, Rs.5,600 and Rs.3,700 were the highest bids for plots at Rawada, Kanapaka Ayyannapeta and Babametta lay-outs.

Since the layouts fall in Visakhapatnam city area with well-developed infrastructure, the plots in Kurmannapalem and MVP Colony received record-breaking bids.

While few plots got record biddings, the price for the other plots had picked up steadily.

VUDA Secretary M.S. Bhagavan was the auction officer. Estate Officer A Jagadeesh, Chief Accounts Officer D Vijaya Bharathi, Chief Urban Planner K Ananda Babu and Chief Engineer in charge I. Viswanatha Rao were the coordinating officers.
