Shriram Properties of Shriram Group, which announced the completion of its first tower at its Panorama Hills project near GITAM University, said that Vizag is a city with future due to heavy investments made in logistics and several public and private sector industries.

The grounding of Petroleum, Chemical and Petrochemical Investment Region (PCPIR) would further accelerate the transformation of the city into a mega metropolis, Shriram Properties vice-president - sales and marketing Balaji R. said here on Sunday.

He said they were scouting for a suitable site to take up a housing project for the middle class. “We have decided to launch an affordable project for the middle class in the city without compromising on quality for which we are holding talks with a government agency,” he stated.

Stating that the response to over 1,800 apartments and 220 villas of different dimensions and designs with over 60,000 square feet of well crafted space at their ongoing project in the city in an area of 80 acres was encouraging, he said bifurcation of the State would not affect the pace of development in the city.

He said the first mega gated township project taken up by them at a cost of Rs.1,450 crore in the city had received good response from several NRIs and professionals hailing from the city.
