The strength of Visakhapatnam derives from robust physical infrastructure, large pool of skilled manpower, strategic location and proactive government initiatives, according to CII Vizag zone vice-chairman Neeraj Sarda.

“Certainly, these multiple facets of our deeper engagement with the global economy will help us propel our growth rate. Continued economic reform and liberalisation will help further boost this surging momentum and spread the benefits of rapid economic growth to more recipients across the State and India,” he said.

Mr. Sarda said there was potential to explore opportunities to establish stronger linkages with Canadian counterparts.

In this regard, CII could always facilitate to strengthen these linkages. “I must mention that CII is playing a leading role in promoting business interests and international operation in industry,” he stated.

Visakhapatnam Port Chairman M.T. Krishna Babu, Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner of Canada Stanley Gomes, Trade Advisor, Canadian Trade Office, Hyderabad, Vikram Jain, president and principal of Arup Datta Architect Ltd Arup Datta were present.
