Visalandhra Book House will organise its 17th annual book exhibition at Turner’s Choultry from November 4 to 21.

With 75 publishing houses participating over 25000 titles will be available, according to Visalandhra Book House Manager P.A. Raju.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Joint Collector G. Srijana on Saturday morning, he told reporters here. Mr. Raju recalled the glorious history of the publishing house that brought out renowned works of Kandukuri Veeresalingam Pantulu, Gurajada Appa Rao and Gidugu Rama Murthy and continued the literary tradition with Kodavatiganti, Chaso, Sripada Subrahmanya Sastry and Malladi Ramakrishna Sastry. Besides it brought to Telugu readers translations of Tolstoy, Gorky, Chekhov and Dostoevsky.

Viriyala Gowtam of Abhyudaya Rachayitala Sangham (Arasam) participated.
