Organisers expect volunteers from all walks of life to make a beeline for the ‘Visakha 5K Run’, an initiative to create awareness on child rights, to be held on February 2. The run, hosted by Vay Foundation, aims to draw huge crowds to spread awareness on the significance of child rights such as right to education, food and nutrition, freedom from fear, protection from child abuse, among several others.

With the year’s theme on child rights, the organisers hope to focus on the impact of lost childhood.

Speaking on the occasion, founder of Vay Foundation Swamy Ganta said: “The drive focuses on bringing various societal issues to the forefront and encourage people participate to help protect child rights. We are expecting students from various schools and colleges to be part of the initiative.”
