Honorary president of YSR Congress Y.S. Vijayalakshmi (Y.S. Vijayamma) will file her nomination for Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat on Thursday.
According to party sources, Ms. Vijayamma will be accompanied by her daughter Sharmila. Ms. Vijayamma is scheduled to reach the city on Wednesday night and Ms. Sharmila on Thursday morning. Both will go to the party office at Maddilapalem and garland the bust of the late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Accompanied by party leaders Konathala Ramakrishna and Dadi Veerabhadra Rao and all the candidates contesting on behalf of the party in the district, Ms. Vijayamma and Ms. Sharmila will go to Jyotirao Phule’s statue near St. Anthony’s School at 11 a.m. and after garlanding Phule’s statue, will go to the Collectorate in a procession.
Party leaders are making efforts to mobilise a large number of workers and sympathisers for the procession.
