The ninth Sunday Morning Indian Classical Music Concert on the Beach Road being organised at Rajiv Smruthi Bhavan would feature a veena recital by Pappu Padma Ravishankar.
The exponent, an A Grade artiste of AIR, was a student of Chebolu Venkata Sastry and Pappu Padmavathi Paramahamsa.
She was given Cuckoo Award by Kalavani in the memory of veena wizard C. Chittibabu, said managing trustee of Tarakeswara Foundation Sehdev Singh in a press release here.
The artiste would present a melange of compositions by Muthuswami Dikshitar, Muthiah Bhagavathar, Saint Thyagaraja, Mysore Vasudevacharya, and Swami Sadasiva Brahmendra.
