VDCA summer cricket coaching camp begins

: The annual summer cricket coaching camp of the Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association got under way here on Sunday.

The VDCA Summer Coaching Camp for Under 12,14, 16 Boys and Girls was inaugurated by former Rector of Andhra University A. Prasanna Kumar and former cricketer and present BCCI National Selector MSK Prasad was present.

Vice-president VDCA DS Varma presided over the function other attended are secretary VDCA K.Parthasaradhi, vice-president Andhra Cricket Association V. Umamaheswara Rao, VDCA vice presidents TSR Prasad, SSRK Prasad, D Sanjeev, MS Kumar and VDCA joint secretaries JKM Raju and P. Bogendra Babu participated.

Prasanna Kumar and MSK Prasad spoke about the importance of coaching and about the ACA and VDCA Academy.

Encouraging the children to take the coaching camp seriously, Mr. Prasad pointed out that 30 to 40 per cent players from the camp are representing VDCA.
