The publicity campaign undertaken by actors Varun Sandesh and Shraddha Das seems to be working wonders for ‘Maro Charitra', an adaptation of the classic film in which Kamal Hasan, Sarita and Madhavi played the lead roles.
Varun and Shradda visited INOX Varun Beach for the promotion of their film on Tuesday. “Our publicity campaign like sticking posters of the film at theatres and meeting the audiences is drawing enthusiastic response from film goers,” Varun said. “It's a family entertainer with a message to youth. I have got a character that's different from the ones I had done in my earlier films. The film was shot mostly in the USA. The remix song ‘Bale bale magadivo…' has caught the fancy of youth,” he said.
Shraddha Das, a Bengali girl born and brought up in Mumbai, said that she was doing another film ‘Chandramukhi-2' with Venkatesh and her first film in Hindi was ‘Lahore' directed by Sanjay Puran Singh. She said that her favourite tourist spot was Dubai and in India she loves the Pink City, Jaipur.
The audience shouted in glee as the pair walked into the theatre to watch the film. Earlier, they also visited Jagadamba Theatre where the film was being screened and regaled the audiences.
