Union Minister takes part in Praja Patham

Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development D. Purandeswari on Sunday participated in the Praja Patham programme in Ward 44 along with Visakhapatham North MLA Taynala Vijay Kumar.

At Omkarnagar and Sevanagar, the Minister said a proposal for supplying power was made at an outlay of Rs.5 lakhs and a survey for providing drinking water and toilets was going on.

For provision of housing and related issues would be discussed with the Railway officials. Stating that Praja Patham was introduced by the late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, she asserted that all the welfare schemes introduced by him would be continued.

Mr. Vijay Kumar said he was trying to solve the problems of the people living in the areas and took some of them to the notice of Ms. Purandeswari.

Corporator Fatima Rani, in charge Municipal Commissioner S. Krishna Murthy, PCC vice-president Y. Mariadas and Mahila Congress president Vijaya Reddy participated.
