An unclaimed suitcase created a bomb scare at the Autonagar branch of Canara Bank on Tuesday evening.

The bank staff noticed the suitcase lying on the floor for a long time and suspected something wrong. It was heavy and this further fuelled their suspicion that it could be a bomb. The Police and Bomb Squad were informed and they arrived around 6 p.m. and found the suitcase full with some documents and LIC papers. They said that someone could have forgotten the suitcase and left.

The staff and public heaved a sigh of relief on finding that there was no bomb in the suitcase.
