UAN allotted to PF subscribers

Regional PF Commissioner asks employers to upload KYC details of members

July 29, 2014 10:22 pm | Updated 10:22 pm IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

A Universal Account Number (UAN) has been allotted to each contributing EPF member to provide them a host of facilities, including portability of PF account number across different employments, according to Regional PF Commissioner R.K. Sahoo.

All these UANs have been disseminated to respective employers through the DTCP Portal.

The employers have been asked to download the same from the EPFO website www.epfindia.gov.in . The detailed process has been elaborated in the user manual, which can be downloaded from the EPFO website.

After disseminating the UAN numbers, the employers are required to collect the KYC documents. Though a number of options have been provided for the KYC, priority should be given for capturing Aadhar/NPR number, PAN, or SB account details of members.

After collecting the document, the employer is required to prepare the text file as per the format for uploading in the portal.

After seeding the KYC against the UAN allotted, the verification of the same has to be done by the employer.
