Two-day Veda Vidya meet from April 6

A two-day Veda Vidya Sammelan will be organised on April 6 and 7 at TTD Kalyanamantapam at M.V.P. Colony. It will be held under the auspices of the Uttarandhra Veda Vidya Trust with the financial assistance from the TTD and the Endowments Department.

Sri Bharadwaja Vedic Dharma Vignana Prachara Samstha will host the event.

In all, 75 pundits and 180 students from various ‘gurukulams’ and Vedic schools from all over the State will participate. Besides reciting the Vedas in the morning and evening, discourses on the Vedas and their relevance will be organised. A team of Vedic scholars will conduct an examination to the students, according to managing trustee D. Bhaskar Murthy.

Sri Satchidananda Saraswati Maha Swamy of Tapovanam at Tuni and Sadguru Kandukuri Sivananda Murthy will deliver benedictory addresses. Principal Secretary, Endowments, J.S.V. Prasad, former Information Advisor to the Prime Minister P.V.R.K. Prasad, Lok Sabha member K. Haribabu, and Visakhapatnam North MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju will participate. Noted scholars Viswanadha Gopalakrishna Sastry, Chirravuri Srirama Sarma, and Maddulapalli Dattatreya Sarma will deliver lecturers on the Vedas.
