Two youths held in robbery case

The City police on Wednesday arrested two youngsters who were involved in a robbery case under the PM Palem police station limits on July 3. The arrested were identified as Karakani Ganesh (19) and Magipilli Mohan Kumar (21). Both hail from Madhurwada area of the city.

According to police, one Kurapa Anantha Rao of YSR Colony, Kommadi area of the city, was coming from Vizianagaram to Visakhapatnam on his bike. He was also carrying a bag which had cash and a mobile phone.

The victim parked his bike on the roadside and went aside for some purpose and he also left the keys in the ignition socket.

Taking advantage of it, Ganesh and Mohan started the bike and sped away with the cash bag.

A complaint has been registered and the police have nabbed the duo and recovered the victim’s bike, a mobile phone, Rs. 4,000 and also seized another bike, which the accused used during the robbery.
