In all, 75 volunteers donated blood at a camp organised here on Sunday. A slimming awareness programme was also organised on the occasion.

The event was conducted by Kolors Healthcare India Pvt. Limited in association with the Rotary Club Visakha Port City 3020 at Vysakhi Jalaudyanavanam. Actor Raasi and television artiste Priya inaugurated the camp.

“Donating blood once in every three months leads to several health benefits for the donor and saves many lives,” said Raasi.

“A strict regimen of workout helped me shed 25 kg in six months. One needs to shed the lethargic attitude and adhere to a strict regimen. Whatever you want to do tomorrow, do it today, and whatever you want to do today, do it now,” she said while advising how to avoid procrastination.

She also advised the gathering to follow a healthy diet pattern along with regular exercise.
