Two killed as car rams auto

Two persons were killed and another was injured critically when a car rammed into an auto-rickshaw near Bodicherla village in the district in the early hours of Tuesday.

Sub-inspector L. Ramakrishrna said that the front tyre of the car, coming from Tuni, got punctured near the village on the National Highway. The driver lost control and the vehicle rammed into the three-wheeler.

Autorickshaw driver T. Chanti (35) and one Dadi Janardhan died while undergoing treatment. Another person, Gorle Nagesh, suffered serious injuries but is said to be out of danger. Three other persons sustained injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
