Two-day music workshop begins

A two-day music workshop on Prabhat Samgiita being organised by the Department of Music Andhra University in collaboration with Renaissance Universal (RU), the intellectual forum of Ananda Marga Pracharak Samgha, was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor G. Nageswara Rao, here on Friday, in the presence of Prof. K. Sarswati Vidyarthi, Chairman Faculty of Fine Arts and Department of Music and Dance. Shubhankar Halder, senior Prabhat Samgiita teacher, Narayan Panda, secretary RU, briefly spoke about RU and Prabhat Samgiita. Speaking about Prabhat Sangmiita, Acharya Bhaveshananda, general secretary of Ananda Marga Pracharak Samgha and secretary of Renaissance Universal, said songs and music were composed by the founder of Ananda Marga Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar, who is known as Anandamurtiji and is unique both in tune and composition.

K. Gayathri Devi, principal, College of Arts and Commerce, was present.
