The police nabbed two persons in S. Rayavaram in Visakhapatnam district on Monday in connection with a job racket, in which 13 youth from the district were detained in Malaysia for overstaying.

The persons, who were detained include the main agent Koda Raju and his brother Koda Gopi. The third accused Koda Srinivas is still at large. The issue came to light after a couple of parents of the youth who were held at Malaysia, lodged a complaint at the S. Rayavaram Police station on Sunday.

According to the police, all three accused are brothers, hailing from Vada Narsapuram village in Rambilli mandal of Visakhapatnam district. It is learnt that Raju and his brothers posed as agents and promised jobs to gullible youth in Malaysia.

They collected to the tune of about Rs.1.8 lakh from each of them and sent them to Malaysia on tourist visas in the last week of November.

Thereafter, they were not provided jobs and the Malaysian Government detained them for over staying.

It is also learnt that about 20 persons were sent by the agents and a few of them had returned back, said S. Rayavaram Police Station inspector. The police are investigating the case.
