Students should look at becoming entrepreneurs rather than chasing jobs in big companies, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said urging them to aim at becoming another Bill Gates.
Interacting with students after inaugurating Sunrise Startups Incubation Centre set up by the State government and the Startup Village of Kochi he said the government aims to foster the culture of research, innovation and entrepreneurship. For the purpose the government has taken the initiative to build world class technology start-up ecosystem in the State
The 17,000 square feet Sunrise Startup Incubation Centre on Hill 3 in Rushikonda IT Park will be fully operational in three to four weeks, officials said. Provisionally four companies have been allocated space in the incubation area and another 10 companies have been allocated space in the Incubation Centre.
The 10 companies, including Trigeo Technologies Pvt Ltd, Tessolve, Avvas Infotech Pvt Ltd, Sinofic, Logic Planet, Lampex Electronics Ltd, Naina Power Pvt Ltd, Inspired IT Solutions Ltd, Epace Technologies and Objectone Information System, between them hope to generate direct employment of 6,000 professionals and bring in investment of over Rs 200 crore.
Earlier, the aspiring student entrepreneurs had a lively interaction with Executive Vice Chairman of Infosys Kris Gopalakrishnan. Founder and Executive Chairman of Cyient B.V.R. Mohan Reddy urged the students to utilise the opportunity provided at the Sunrise Startup.
CEO of Startup Village Pranav Kumar Suresh said they would be dividing their time between the two locations and work to create a local team for operating the Startup here.
A host of Ministers, MPs and MLAs apart from senior officials from the Government of Andhra Pradesh were present.
