National Disaster Management Authority and the Ministry of Home Affairs will hold a tsunami mock drill on Friday between 9.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m.
As a part of the exercise along the East Coast, the drill will be conducted at Chukkavanipalem in Bhimunipatnam mandal and Pedajalaripeta in 17th ward of GVMC, according to District Revenue Officer in charge Sattibabu.
He reviewed the arrangements with Deputy Collector, Civil Defence, Jawaharlal Nehru, and officials of the Police, the Navy, the Coast Guard and other departments concerned.
