Trains cancelled, rescheduled

On account of damage to track on Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway, due to overflowing of water on track a number of trains have been cancelled or rescheduled or diverted on Sunday.

Train no 12727 Godavari, 12739 Garibrath, 18509 Visakhapatnam-Nanded, 17488 Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Tirumala express scheduled to leave here on Monday are cancelled. Train No 12842 Chennai Central – Howrah Coromandel Express from Chennai Central is also cancelled.

A number of trains coming towards Visakhapatnam scheduled to start on Sunday have been cancelled, they include 17487 Tirupati-Visakhapatnam Tirumala Express from Tirupati, 11019 Mumbai CST - Bhubaneswar Konark Express from Mumbai, 18495 Rameswaram – Bhubaneswar Express from Rameswaram, 12841 Howrah - Chennai Coromandel Express from Howrah, 22855 Santragachi – Tirupati Express from Santragachi, 12867 Howrah -Puducherry Express from Howrah, 16324 Shalimar-Thiruvananthapuram Express from Shalimar, 02863 Shalimar- Yeswantpur Special from Shalimar, 22605 Purulia -Villupuram express from Purulia, and 12840 Chennai Central – Howrah Mail from Chennai Central. Train No 12840 Chennai Central – Howrah Mail of 26.10.2013 rescheduled to leave Chennai Central on Sunday is also cancelled. Train No 12842 Chennai Central – Howrah Coromandel Express from Chennai Central, 12659 Nagercoil – Shalimar Gurudev Express from Nagercoil and 22852 Mangalore Central – Santragachi Express from Mangalore Central are cancelled. A number of trains have also been diverted to run via Warangal, Ballarshah, Nagpur and Jharsuguda, according to a statement issued by the ECoR.
