Traffic curbs for Chandanotsavam

In view of Chandanotsavam at Simhachalam, traffic will be regulated by the police from 10 p.m. on May 1 to midnight of May 2.

According to Commissioner of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy, since the approach ghat road to the temple is very narrow and steep, vehicles will not be allowed to ply on the road. Pilgrims will have to park their vehicles at the specified parking spots. The Simhachalam Devasthanam will run bus services from the parking spots to the temple.

Vehicles coming from Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Bheemunipatnam, One Town, Two Town, Three Town, and Four Town will pass through Hanumanthawaka BRTS Road. These vehicles will be parked at the allotted place near Adavivaram junction. For two-wheelers, the parking place has been allotted at the mango garden near the municipal school.

Vehicles coming from Anakapalle, Gajuwaka, Pendurthi, Gopalapatnam, NAD, Kancharapalem, and Malkapuram will have to pass through Gopalapatnam petrol bunk. They have to be parked at the allotted place on the Gosala BRTS Road. Two-wheelers have to be parked near the public health centre near Gosala.

VVIP vehicles will have to be parked at the specified parking slots near Gali Gopuram, as per protocol. Vehicles belonging to press persons and temple staff will have to be parked at the slot on the water tank road.

Heavy vehicles will not be allowed from NAD to Pendurthi from 10 p.m. of May 1 to midnight of May 2.

Heavy vehicles from Vizianagaram and Srikakulam will be diverted via Anandapurm and Sabbavaram to Anakapalle. Car passes issued by the Police Department is a must.
