With two Governors, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu along with some Union Ministers, including Chiranjeevi and several State Ministers, MPs and other people’s representatives attending the marriage of Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s daughter Sai Pujitha with Venkata Ram Prasanth, son of Bhimavaram MLA P. Ramanjaneyulu at the AU Engineering ground here at 9.05 a.m. on Wednesday, it is posing a big challenge to the police.
The task might be tougher since ministers from Telangana region are also expected to attend the marriage. Mr. Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Mr. Danam Nagender arrived on Tuesday and some others are expected.
The Telangana ministers being present in the city might prompt the Samaikyandhrapradesh agitators to stage protests to express their displeasure against bifurcation of the State but there is also another line of thought that such incidents may not happen and if happen will be on a minor scale since all the JACs of Samaikyandhrapradesh in the city are no more active. Interestingly Mr. Ganta Srinivasa Rao is a strong supporter of Samaikyandhrapradesh and one of the ministers who made strong statements in favour of a unified State.
A change in the schedule of visit Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy is expected to provide some interesting moments at the marriage venue as he and Mr. Chandrababu Naidu are likely to bump into each other. Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy is originally scheduled to arrive here after noon on Wednesday but on Tuesday morning the revised schedule of his visit was received and he would be arriving here at 9 a.m. by a special flight and spend about one-and-a-half hours before leaving to Vijayawada. Mr. Naidu will be present at the venue at the same time. The CM’s canvoy would reach the venue from a different way and the police have already announced the routes for the traffic to be diverted.
Several film personalities are also coming for the marriage. Director Raghavendra Rao went round the richly decorated marriage pandal on Tuesday and reportedly commented that it was as good as a setting for a rich cinema.
