Meritorious students of GVMC schools will get support from the corporation to continue their studies, Municipal Commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana has said.

While 141 students joined corporate colleges in the previous year, this year 373, who achieved good grades in SSC, would get admission, he said at a function organised to congratulate 16 students who scored 9.5 or above. Parents of the students were also felicitated. Mr. Satyanarayana congratulated teachers and headmasters for improving the SSC result.

While GVMC would do its best to provide all amenities in schools, continuously improving the result would depend only on teachers and how they motivate students, Mr. Satyanarayana said.
