T.N. youth arrested, 6 laptops recovered

: The crime wing of the MVP Police Station on Monday arrested 25-year-old Sakthi Nagaraju on the charge of stealing high-end laptops. Police recovered six stolen laptops from the accused.

ACP (Crime) Phalguna Rao said that Sakthi Nagaraju, a native of the Vadiarajya Palyam area in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu, had come to the city to commit offences. .

Students lodge

During his stay, he stole six laptops, a few mobile phones and wallets in hostels and rooms of students in the HB Colony and MVP Colony areas in the city.

Based on a complaint from the students, the police arrested Sakthi Nagaraju.

Apartment burgled

Burglars broke into the apartment of G. Tejavathi alias Meena at Sri Sai Palace in Shanti Nagar near NAD Kotha Road, and made good with about 16.5 tulas of gold ornaments, on Sunday night.

According to Airport Police Station Crime Inspector Narasimha Rao, Ms. Tejavathi had left for Srikakulam in the evening to attend the Arasavalli festival.

The woman rushed back to the city on Monday morning after being informed about the burglary by her neighbours.

Police registered a case and are investigating.
