Celebrating International Dance Day on April 29 and marking the 13 anniversary of Nataraj Music and Dance Academy, a three-day dance festival will be hosted at Kalabharathi Auditorium from Tuesday.

Chairman of the academy R. Krishna Goud said the festival included presentation of three ‘jugalbandis’ portraying diverse classical forms. Including contemporary elements to the festival, a classical ballet ‘Yashoda-Krishna’, choreographed by academy’s principal K.V. Lakshmi, would also be performed. Founder-president of the academy Bathina Vikram Goud said the programme also comprises the second edition of Satyabhama Yuva Nrityotsav, where classical dancers from across the country would be performing.

The programme begins at 6.30 p.m. every day.
