The city’s first T.S.D. (Time Speed Distance) format rally ‘The Valley Challenge’ is being organised by motorsports event management company TT Motorsports 128 in association with Shriram Properties on April 24. The rally will start from Rushikonda beach and end at Anantagiri (Araku Valley).
Anyone with a valid driving licence and vehicles of any make and model can take part in the rally.
In a T.S.D. rally, a team will be given a map called as road book that contains direction and distances. Along with the road book, each team will be given a speed chart that will say when to drive at what speed. The team has to maintain precise distance and time throughout the course of the rally. There will be surprise T.C. (Time Check) along the route which will penalise the team for arriving either late or early.
At the end of the day, the team with the least amount of penalties wins the event.
