Nearly 35,000 party leaders at various levels and cadres are expected to participate in the annual Mahanadu of TDP that will be held at the A U Engineering College Grounds here from May 27.

Accommodation Committee Chairman and HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said while invitations had been sent to the 26,500 persons, an additional 10,000 were expected to participate. A total of 14 committees have been formed for the conduct of the Mahanadu and arrangements were being made in an unprecedented manner. Chief Minister and party national president N. Chandrababu Naidu will arrive on May 27 morning and reach the venue directly for the inaugural.

On May 28, the birth anniversary of party founder NTR, he will participate in the programmes at the new party office at Ramnagar.

The party will discuss development works and projects taken up during the past three years, investments, agriculture, Polavaram project, special category status vis-à-vis special package, assurances given in the Bifurcation Act and the plans for the coming two years, Mr. Srinivasa Rao told reporters.

Though a number of resolutions would be passed the political resolution would be the most significant, he said.

Earlier, he held a review meeting with MLAs on the accommodation arrangements.
