A fitness programme can turn out to be a mundane task to exert for many if it does not contain fun element.

Keeping this in mind, Four Points By Sheraton hosted ‘Zumba fitness – a teaser for women’ here on Wednesday.

It promises to be an effective way of losing weight effortlessly while enjoying the regimen without feeling bored.

The session features exotic rhythms that set high-energy Latin and other international beats. Trained instructors will teach foot tapping while the dance enthusiasts get the perfect tempo in sequence. The programme features simple steps combined with 10 various forms of dance such as salsa, tango, cumbia, flamenco, bollywood, belly dance, etc. Flamenco steps make one get toned into a perfect posture, said one of the instructors from Goa Ruth Gabriel.

“I have been working with fitness industry for the past 16 years and when it comes to exercise activity, nothing can be so amusing than practising Zumba,” she said.

“We have been flooded with a good number of requests to start a fitness activity in the hotel. Zumba was chosen because it combines sporting and entertainment. Frequency of the class, timings, and other details will be announced shortly,” said GM and CEO of the hotel Mohammed Aarif. The floor will be open for all on Friday from 8 p.m. at Waves, lounge bar of the hotel, for a fee of Rs.200 per person. The fitness course will be led by a team of certified instructors led by Nitika Dhiman.
