Swachh campaign at Akkayyapalem

Swachh Bharat ambassadors and Municipal Commissioner M. Hari Narayanan on Monday morning carried out a door-to-door campaign on Swachh Bharat Survekshan at Jaggarao Bridge at Akkayyapalem with the objective of further improving the rank.

The rally was aimed at creating awareness on the guidelines for Swachh Survekshan 2018 and separating dry and wet waste by residents.

They went around apartments and gave pamphlets on the guidelines and separating waste.

The Swachh Bharat ambassadors will meet every first and third Saturday at the park at Sector I of MVP Colony and discuss Swachh Visakha programmes.

Convener of Swachh Bharat Ambassadors and former Vice-Chancellor V Balamohandas said efforts would be made to improve the rank by carrying out such campaigns among citizens.

Swachh Bharat ambassadors Shirin Rahman, Uday Shirname, G S N Raju, Jeeja Valasaraj, G. Muralikrishna, Anand Singh and Dr. Visweswara Rao, Chief Medical Officer (Health) A. Hemanth, UDC Project Director D Srinivasan and Zone Commissioner Nallanaiah participated in the Swachh campaign.
