Students told to acquire skills to excel in interview

Head of the Department of Foreign Languages DVR Murthy said students should be equipped with necessary interview skills to excel in campus interviews and get employment immediately after passing out from the university.

He was speaking at the third day of training programme on “Soft Skills” organised at the Lab for Skill Development, College of Arts and Commerce, Andhra University.

Former professor of Economics U.N. Moorthy stressed upon the need for developing data analytics skills among students to make them ready for the corporate world. He further said skills on economic issues should also be taught to students.

Dr. Padmaja Behara, Master Trainer of APSCHE-British Council, explained about the nuances of English grammar and punctuation.

Dr. Jayashri Shetty, Coordinator of Skill Development Centre of Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College, spoke on interview skills.
