Students should have an aim: VPT Chairman

MVGR College of Engineering, Vizianagaram, celebrated its 18th anniversary on Tuesday. M.T. Krishna Babu, Chairman, Visakhapatnam Port Trust, was the chief guest on the occasion. Toppers of each class of 2014 batch were awarded with gold medals and the toppers of current batch were awarded cash award worth Rs.12.5 lakhs.

Speaking on the occasion K.V.L. Raju, principal, MVGR College of Engineering, spoke about the progress of the college last year. Around 250 final year students were placed in various multinational companies during the on and off campus interviews, he said.

Addressing the students, Mr Krishna Babu said that students should have an aim, set up a goal and work towards achievement of the goal. They should be able to use all the available resources and come out as a technocrat with all-round development.

MANSAS correspondent A Ragava Rao has congratulated the students who received academic awards. After the presentation ceremony, students presented colourful cultural programmes with traditional folk and western performances.
