Students held for ‘stealing laptops’

A final-year engineering student of Chaitanya Engineering College, Kommadi, was arrested for allegedly stealing laptops from the hostel rooms of Andhra University Engineering College.

The accused, Bhogapuram Nagendra Sri Ram Kumar (21), a resident of Maarthand Raju Peta in Tuni of East Godavari, had stolen about five laptops in the last six months, it was learnt .

According to ADCP (Crime) S. Varada Raju, the engineering student was addicted to vices and to fund them he indulged in the offences. The accused was sent to judicial custody.
