Student killed in road accident

A final-year B. Tech student, of a private college, died on the spot and his friend was seriously injured in a road accident in the early hours of Monday.

The deceased was identified as L. Adi Vishnu Prasad, son of L. Rambabu, an employee of Indian Railways, and resident of Madhavadhara. The injured was his childhood friend Shiva.

According to the police, the deceased and his friend had come to APSRTC Complex at about 2 a.m. to have tiffin from his home at Madhavadhara.

While returning, Vishnu Prasad who was driving the two-wheeler, hit the divider on the GVMC Flyover at Asilmetta.

While he died on the spot, Shiva was admitted to hospital with injuries.

The police are investigating the case.
