Steps on to check swine flu

Following the death of a person due to swine flu in the city on Friday, steps are being taken to control the H1N1 virus. At a meeting held at Andhra Medical College, Principal G. Bhagya Rao, Superintendent of KGH G. Shanta Rao and senior doctors said teams consisting of a physician, gynaecologist, paediatrician, chest specialist, along with nurses and technicians had been formed to be sent to the Government Hospital for Chest Diseases to run a round-the-clock facility to diagnose and treat the patients if they were found to be swine flu positive.

At KGH, Dr. Shanta Rao started swine flu vaccination for hospital's doctors and staff.
