The State Government will do justice to the Kapu community by resolving the long-pending issues such as reservation, and that is why it has constituted the Manjunadha Commission and sought its report within nine months, State HRD Minister G. Srinivasa Rao has said.
Speaking at the brainstorming session on Kapu welfare organised by the Kapu Welfare Corporation here on Saturday, he said the government had allocated Rs 1,000 crore to the corporation and Kapu bhavans would be constructed, beginning with Visakhapatnam.
Anakapalle MP M. Srinivasa Rao said the Kapus had emerged as a significant political force in the State and he would strive to get the required piece of legislation passed in Parliament for Kapu reservation.
Kapu corporation chairman Ch. Ramanjaneyulu said 3.53 lakh applications were received for loans, of them 42,000 were approved so far. All the eligible would get the loans, he promised.
