25 married women walk the ramp at Silk Mark beauty pageant

Donning elegant silk ensembles and pairing them with right accessories, 25 married women walked the ramp with élan.

In a combined event comprising an award presentation ceremony as part of the Women’s Day celebrations and the ‘Srimathi Silk Mark 2017’ pageant to promote traditional attire and authentic silk, women exhibited a collection of drapes.

“A team of master weavers located in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh, was given the assignment to bring out the collection on pilot basis,” Y. Srinivasa Rao, senior executive of the Silk Mark Organisation of India, promoted by Central Silk Board, Union Ministry of Textiles
