Srikakulam youth shines in essay contest

It is important to nurture the art of effective communication skills, both oral and written, at a young age. With right expression and precise sentence structure, one can make his or her presence felt in any domain, Andhra University Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju has said.

He was addressing the zonal and national winners of ‘All India Essay Writing Event-2014’ organised jointly by the Shri Ram Chandra Mission and the United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan at the zonal SRCM Ashram on Sunday.

In all, 1,85,751 students from 11,857 schools and colleges across the nation took part in the annual contest. Among others in the national level, Tadi Sujay Kiran (MBBS) from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences – Srikakulam grabbed both the All-India Winner title and first prize in Telugu.
