As the helmet rule for the two-wheeler drivers is set to become mandatory on Thursday BJP Yuva Morcha members on Wednesday roped in drama artistes to spread the message of safe driving.

Two theatre artistes dressed up as Lord of Death Yamadharmaraja and his book keeper Chitragupta met vehicle drivers at the traffic signal at Gurudwara Junction on Wednesday morning and gave them a sermon on the importance of safe driving.

The costumed motivators tried to impress upon drivers of four wheelers to strap up seat belt to avoid becoming a fatality in the event of a road accident. They told two-wheeler drivers the importance of wearing of helmet.

The campaigners gave away chocolates to the drivers who were wearing helmets as a token of appreciation.

ADCP (Traffic) Mahendra Patrudu was the chief guest at the campaign organised by Somayajulu of the Yuva Morcha.
