Special trains to clear summer rush

A pair of super fast summer special trains will be run for four trips between Santragacchi and Chennai to clear the summer rush.

Train no.02807 Santragachhi (Howrah)-Chennai Express will leave from Santragachhi at 7 p.m. on June 5, 12, 19, 26 (Thursdays) and arrives in Visakhapatnam on Friday at 8.20 a.m. and leaves at 8.45 a.m. and reaches Chennai at 10.45 p.m. on the same day.

In the return direction, train no. 02808 Chennai-Santragachhi Express will leave Chennai at 7.55 a.m. on June 7, 14, 21 and 28 (Saturdays) and arrives in Visakhapatnam on the same day at 8.35 p.m. and leaves at 8.55 p.m. and reaches Santragachhi at 10.25 a.m. on the next day (Sunday).

These trains will stop at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Gudur between Santragachhi and Chennai, according to a statement issued by Divisional Commercial Manager P. Ch. Ramu Naidu.

The trains will have two AC-3 tier, eight Sleeper Class coaches, five General Second Class coaches and two guard-cum-luggage vans.
