Special police team to nab murder accused

The Narsipatnam police have formed a special team to investigate the murder of 19-year-old M Raghuvarma, who was stabbed to death by three unidentified persons near RTC Complex in Narsipatnam town on Monday.

Raghuvarma, native of Yetigairampeta area under Golugonda mandal in the district, had come to Narsipatunam along with his uncle on his bike.

A three-member gang, which spotted him, alleged stabbed him. Despite the injuries, Raghuvarma tried to escape on bike. But he fell down from the bike after reaching some distance.

A severely injured Raghuvarma died while he was being shifted to hospital. Sources said that the police are suspecting that rivalry in alleged ganja trade and his reported illicit affair with a woman might have been the reasons behind the murder.
