Snag in Vizag-Chennai flight leaves passengers stranded

Around 80 passengers of the Vizag-Chennai SpiceJet flight were stranded at the airport here as their flight returned following a ‘technical snag’ on Monday night. The flight took off at 7.20 p.m. and returned by 7.45 p.m.

A troupe of Russian dancers, which was supposed to catch the early morning flight from Chennai to Moscow, was stranded in the city. According to one of the stranded passengers, the airline promised to requisition another flight and send them to Chennai.

It was learnt that the Vizianagaram MP Botcha Jhansi was among the stranded passengers.
